Maternity and Child Care
A) Introduction :
- Since 2072, EPF has implemented the Maternity and Child Care Program In the event of childbirth by the contributor or the contributor’s spouse, a sum of Rs. 7,500 will be disbursed per occurrence, with a limit of two disbursements throughout the tenure of service.
B) Eligibility:
- Delivery of child in case of female contributor herself or to the contributor’s wife.
- Contributors who have consistently contributed to the PF for a minimum of six months as of the delivery date are eligible for this benefit.
C) Procedure:
- Facilities for Maternity and Child Care are accessible via the Pension Management and Social Security Department, located in Thamel, as well as through all the branch offices and service Centers of the EPF.
- To avail of this service, The contributor is required to file a claim within six months from the date of delivery along with the required documents.
D) Documents required:
- Form certified by the contributor’s office (Schedule 4)
- Birth registration certificate issued by local level
- Copy of EPF card of the contributor.
- Marriage registration certificate.
- Copy of Citizenship of both contributor and his/her spouse.
