Mr. Ghimire has an extensive career in Nepal’s civil service, particularly in the energy and finance sectors. He served as the Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation from December 2018, where he was instrumental in formulating policies and strategies for sustainable hydropower development . His tenure included leadership roles in major energy companies such as Vidyut Utpadan Company Limited, Rastriya Prasharan Grid Company Limited, and the Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited.
As Chairman of EPF Nepal, Mr. Ghimire oversees the management of provident funds for approximately 600,000 employees in both the government and private sectors . His leadership is expected to guide the EPF in strategic investments, including infrastructure and hydroelectric projects, ensuring the fund’s growth and sustainability.
Mr. Ghimire’s extensive experience in public administration and policy formulation positions him as a key figure in Nepal’s efforts to enhance its financial and energy sectors.

CA Jitendra Dhital is a distinguished Nepali chartered accountant and the current Administrator of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Nepal. With over 15 years of dedicated service at EPF, he has played a pivotal role in modernizing Nepal’s social security landscape and steering the institution toward greater transparency, innovation, and contributor-centric growth.
Dhital joined EPF in early 2009 as a senior manager in the audit department. His significant contributions include serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the 456 MW Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project, Nepal’s largest domestically financed hydropower initiative. This role deepened his engagement with national infrastructure development and solidified his commitment to EPF’s mission.
Dhital envisions EPF as a cornerstone of Nepal’s social security system, emphasizing the mobilization of long-term funds for national development. He advocates for clear legislative frameworks to define the roles of various social security institutions and aims to expand EPF’s coverage to include contributors’ families.
