Pension and Gratuity

Features of the plan:
- Contributory Retirement Scheme has been implemented for the employees of Civil Service, Nepal Army Service, Nepal Police Service, Armed Police Force, Nepal and Nepal Special Service permanently appointed 2076 BS Shrawan 1, onwards.
- Monthly salary of the employees participating in this scheme will be deducted by 6% and the Government of Nepal will contribute in the same proportion.
- The pension amount will be increased up to 5 times at the rate of 10 percent every 3 years.
- In case of non-completion of 20 years of service, the amount deposited in the fund, interest amount and profit amount will be paid in lump sum.
- The amount deposited in the personal account of the employees who have completed 20 years of service will be paid in accordance with the provisions of the Pension Fund Act, 2075.
The process of joining the scheme:
- Employees participating in the retirement scheme will follow the procedure prescribed by the fund, update the KYC, get the UCIN number and inform the concerned office.
- The concerned office must obtain the Web Entry Access of the Fund.
- Deposit the amount in the designated bank as per the retirement plan and the concerned office will send the digital details through web entry and keep the receipt sent from the fund (online) safely.
- To fill in the personal account of the employee participating in the pension scheme after verifying the bank details from the fund and the digital details sent by the concerned office.
- Regularly check the personal account details of the employees participating in the pension scheme online.
- Inform the concerned office about the UCIN number of the employee in case of transfer or posting in other office.
Responsibilities of employees participating in retirement schemes
- To get the identity card number by contacting the Employees Provident Fund directly or in coordination with the concerned department.
- Compulsorily updating online KYC after receiving the identity card number and taking the submission number.
3.Obtain the KYC number-UCIN_ from the nearest provident fund office or by contacting the office of the concerned employee with the obtained submission number and provide it to the concerned office for deducting pension.
- Provide the UCIN number to the transferred office in case of change of office at any time.
Responsibility of the employees participating in the pension scheme
- Obtaining Username and Password for Web Entry by updating the KYC of the office from the Employees Provident Fund (Office which has now taken online facility can only be reached by updating the institutional KYC).
- Submit the KYC submission number filled by the employee participating in the retirement plan to get the UCIN number through web entry and inform it to be updated as KYC.
- To get the receipt number of the employees participating in the retirement scheme by preparing the division through the Web Entry of the monthly statement Fund. To deposit or transfer bank vouchers including receipt number. Re-enter the bank voucher statement in the web entry of the fund and get the receipt of the statement deposited in the pension fund and keep it safe. (No need to send a hard copy to the fund).
- Keep a copy of the details sent by the employees participating in the pension scheme in the office.
